If you'd be talking to us about this piece of art, we'll tell you this:

Team these two-way large charms with our torans or let it enjoy the stand alone beauty of pretty corners, dazzle bright and shine!

The hangings include religious motifs, hand-painted using acrylic colours. The motif of Shubh means auspicious and Labh means gains respectively. So it means Aupicious Gains. Hindu religion preaches that the gains must be auspicious in order for it to bestow happiness to a person.

Details: 11 inches long including the silk thread, 5.5 inches broad including the tassels. The emblem of the charm has a 4 inches diameter, the silk thread is individually 1 inches long. The motif is placed on a 3 inches diameter disc. The Lakshmi Pagla motifs are embedded on a solid pink color silk cloth disc which has 89 copper beads sewn by hand on its periphery. The tassels attached below have solid discs on which buffed flowers of the same house-print are used, it has 36 beads on the periphery of the disc and 1 bead as pollen of the flower.

IMPORTANCE OF LAKSHMI PAGLA: In Hindu mythology, Goddess Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, prosperity, and abundance. She is often depicted as the consort of Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe. As per traditional beliefs, the footprints of Goddess Lakshmi hold great significance.

The footprints of Goddess Lakshmi are believed to represent her presence and blessings. Devotees often create or draw the footprints during religious ceremonies and rituals. These footprints are considered auspicious and are placed at the entrance of homes or temples to welcome the goddess and invoke her blessings.

The footprints are a symbol of prosperity and are believed to bring wealth and abundance into the household. They are also seen as a sign of Lakshmi's grace and protection. By having the footprints present, devotees seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and pray for financial well-being and success in their endeavors.

Furthermore, the footprints of Goddess Lakshmi are sometimes associated with the practice of "Paduka Puja," where devotees worship the symbolic representation of her feet. This ritual is performed by washing, decorating, and offering prayers to the sacred footprints as a way of showing reverence and seeking the blessings of the goddess.

Overall, the footprints of Goddess Lakshmi carry deep spiritual and symbolic significance, representing prosperity, abundance, and the divine presence of the goddess in one's life.

Packaging: In the Indian culture, Lakshmi Pagla motifs are placed permanently, through out the year on the main door of residential/corporate premises, however, sometimes it is just use as festive décor. For the times when they are not used, we provide dust bags along with the hangings for storage.

For safety during transit, the hangings will be wrapped and packed in bubble wrap & corrugation sheets.

In 2021, Pooja Dave was 22 years old when she noticed something most people walk past without a second thought. India’s handicraft industry had skilled hands, beautiful work and genuine value, but very little structure.

She decided to change that through a business. IBHI brought together India’s regional textile traditions like Banarasi, Patola and Silk with the handcraft skills of women who had never had a formal livelihood.

Today, 355 women across Kadi, Kalyanpura and Sanand work with IBHI. They are skilled artisans with a craft, a workplace and an income.

Every IBHI piece takes a minimum of 12 hours to make. Twelve hours of cutting, layering, stitching and finishing by hand, with precision and without shortcuts.

When you buy an IBHI piece, you are not just buying decor. You are supporting a system built to give Indian craft the structure it deserves and the women behind it the recognition they have earned.
