DETAILS IN DETAIL: "Shrinathji's presence is a constant reminder of the eternal bond between the devotee and the divine."

This exquisite piece showcases the divine Shrinathji meticulously cut out against a rich backdrop of digitally printed Paithani heritage textile. The intricate design is framed with golden beads and embellishments, enhancing its elegance and traditional charm. Additionally, this Platter is two-sided and features an Ajrakh print on the backside, adding to its versatility and artistic appeal.

Features:

  • Main Cutout: Shrinathji, symbolizing devotion and divinity.
  • Background Fabric: Digitally printed Paithani textile, celebrated for its heritage and intricate patterns.
  • Backside Fabric: Ajrakh print, known for its complex geometric patterns.
  • Frame: Adorned with 30 rose golden gota patti balls with blooms of copper beads and decorative elements, adding a luxurious touch.

The Platter has a small loop made using silk chandan thread, which is small enough to not be visible but strong enough to hold the entire Platter when hung on a wall as decor. Flat on a surface or suspended on a wall, this Platter is ultra versatile.

The pictures and videos are shot using Iphone 15 Pro and have undergone no post-processing edits to make sure that you have an exact perception of the IBHI.

DIMENSIONS: The basal diameter of the Platter is 8 inches and the total diameter including the tassels is close to 11 inches. We have taken pictures using a measure tape to indicate the measurements.

Historic Importance of Paithani: Paithani, originating from the town of Paithan in Maharashtra, is a traditional handwoven saree known for its intricate patterns and vibrant colors. Historically, it has been a symbol of royalty and is often referred to as the “Queen of Silks.” The rich tapestry of Paithani weaves includes motifs inspired by nature, such as peacocks, flowers, and vines, making each piece a work of art.

  • Home Decor: Ideal for adding a touch of spirituality and tradition to your living space.
  • Gifting: A thoughtful gift for auspicious occasions and festivals.
  • Art Collectors: A unique addition to any collection of traditional Indian art and crafts.

In 2021, Pooja Dave was 22 years old when she noticed something most people walk past without a second thought. India’s handicraft industry had skilled hands, beautiful work and genuine value, but very little structure.

She decided to change that through a business. IBHI brought together India’s regional textile traditions like Banarasi, Patola and Silk with the handcraft skills of women who had never had a formal livelihood.

Today, 355 women across Kadi, Kalyanpura and Sanand work with IBHI. They are skilled artisans with a craft, a workplace and an income.

Every IBHI piece takes a minimum of 12 hours to make. Twelve hours of cutting, layering, stitching and finishing by hand, with precision and without shortcuts.

When you buy an IBHI piece, you are not just buying decor. You are supporting a system built to give Indian craft the structure it deserves and the women behind it the recognition they have earned.
