The Original Classic by IBHI
The Asopalav Toran by IBHI holds a special place in our journey. Designed, created, and handcrafted in 2022, this was the very first Asopalav Toran introduced by IBHI, and it continues to remain a beloved favourite among our patrons.
Inspired by the traditional symbolism of Asopalav leaves, which represent prosperity, welcome, and auspicious beginnings in Indian culture, this toran brings timeless festive charm to entrances.
Each leaf is crafted using fabric and finished with a chikoo-colored thread stitch that forms the delicate vein of the leaf, giving the motif a natural and refined appearance.
The bunches of leaves are gathered together with a signature IBHI detail — a wooden bead embellished with glass bead work and gota patti, paired with fabric emblems. This combination has become a classic IBHI design language, blending traditional craft with decorative elegance.
Designed with versatility in mind, the toran features different emblem prints on each side, allowing it to be used both ways. Simply flip the toran to create a fresh look, almost like styling a new product every time.
Silk loops on both corners make it easy to hang across doorways and entrances.
The Asopalav Toran is a timeless piece that continues to represent the spirit of IBHI — heritage craft, thoughtful design, and festive warmth.
