A PERSONAL NOTE
“The main door and mandir of my home always had a Toran. As a child I have seen the females of my family periodically changing the Torans, cleaning them, and being extremely peculiar in selection. I have grown up seeing this tradition and while I sink it in my soul, I’ve realized that traditions can only be passed, not taught. Extending a sincere effort in intensifying the tradition, I started designing Torans using historic weaves like Patola, Banarasi, Chanderi and added bling using Gota Patti, copper tassels, and glass beads. As my team puts the design together, I am filled with a cluster of emotions knowing that the creation is going to be adorned in homes and temples to welcome the goddess of wealth, Lakshmi. Being in the gifting business, I feel that it is the best gift for our home and temple, the home which has caressed us, the temple which has kept our faith alive.
