DETAILS IN DETAIL: Our IBHI is made using historic-heritage textiles of India, so of course this IBHI has its own history, not very old though. This IBHI was designed and created to place diyas and candles during the festive season, yet it evolved as a multi-purpose and versatile pallet. It is a stand alone single piece beauty, it has two different sides, it is covered in flat digital print on both sides- which makes it two-sided. The basal diameter of this pallet is 4 inches, it is firm and sturdy. The pallet has 17 tassels on the periphery which are hand-sewn on at the base, the spherical beads are made using plastic with rose gold tone gota patti wrapped inside out.  Each sphere has a bunch of 85 fibre based dull golden beads. Along with the tassles, the total diameter of the pallet is 7 inches.

The pallet is single (1 piece, does not come in a set of 2) and is super ready to mingle with your decor!

The pallet has a small loop made using silk chandan thread, which is small enough to not be visible but strong enough to hold the entire pallet when hung on a wall as decor. Flat on a surface or suspended on a wall, this pallet is ultra versatile.

The pictures and videos are shot using Iphone 13 Pro and have undergone no post-processing edits to make sure that you have an exact perception of the IBHI.

PACKAGING: Just how we make this IBHI with love, we pack them with love ultra pro max! We cut silk fabric and protective packaging material into a six petal flower and close it into a bundle using tasseled silk thread.

Why IBHI designed the cow print?

In Hinduism, the cow holds great significance and is considered sacred and revered. The importance of the cow in Hinduism can be attributed to several reasons:

  1. Symbol of Nourishment and Motherhood: The cow is seen as a symbol of nurturing and motherhood. It provides milk, which is considered a complete and nourishing food. Milk is used in various religious rituals and is seen as a pure and auspicious substance.

  2. Representation of Earthly Abundance: The cow is associated with abundance and fertility. It is seen as a giver of life and represents the Earth's bountiful resources. In Hindu mythology, the cow is often associated with Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity.

  3. Connection with Lord Krishna: In Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is often depicted as a cowherd. His close association with cows, particularly the divine cows known as Surabhi or Kamadhenu, further elevates the importance of cows in Hinduism.

  4. Sacred in Scriptures: The cow is mentioned and revered in several Hindu scriptures, including the Vedas, Puranas, and Upanishads. These texts highlight the sacredness of cows and emphasize the virtues of protecting and caring for them.

  5. Karma and Ahimsa: Hinduism promotes the principle of ahimsa, or non-violence, and the cow is considered a symbol of this principle. Slaughtering or harming cows is considered a grave sin, as it goes against the principle of non-violence and respect for all living beings.

  6. Economic and Agricultural Significance: Cows have been integral to the agrarian economy in many parts of India. They provide dairy products, dung, and urine, which are used as fertilizers, fuel, and other essential resources in rural communities.

  7. Social and Cultural Importance: Cows hold cultural significance in Hindu society, and their presence is often seen as auspicious and purifying. Cows are revered during festivals, such as Govardhan Puja and Gopastami, where they are adorned with garlands and worshipped.

It's important to note that while cows are considered sacred in Hinduism, not all Hindus worship or revere them in the same way. Practices and beliefs can vary across different regions and sects within Hinduism. Nonetheless, the cow's significance as a symbol of nourishment, abundance, purity, and non-violence remains prominent in Hindu culture and religious traditions.
